The mini toolkit is permanently stashed in my backpack. I don't like and don't want to handle a full one all the time. So I tried to compose one that would allow me to fix the tube and take care of basics related to my bike with minimal size and weight. By the way - some parts are really beautiful :-)
My way to this setup was not easy :-) At the beginning I bought a set from Motion Pro - MP Tool Metric (https://www.motionpro.com/product/08-0161). It seemed like a great idea, but all in all, it turned out to be very uncomfortable. Flat wrenches may look nice in the specs, but in real they are hard to fit anywhere, and their quirked shapes didn't convince me of their quality. And the scale, the scale showed many figures, 439g after adding a few elements I wanted. So the only right way was the way to my favourite realm of custom :-)
The first thing that may catch an eye is the minimalist King Tony ratchet. It is sufficient to work with a bike, and it weighs only 76g. Then we have a standard extension, 3 size of sockets and ... a clever hex bit adapter that fits exactly into a 10mm socket, made by Sata. The whole can be elegantly assembled into one element. In addition, several bits with different torx, allen bits... and one additional torx to reach the most challenging nuts. In addition, a smaller version of the previously described Knipex 86 with a length of 125mm. I've packed everything in the case from aforementioned Motion Pro - it works very well and is super easy to use.
Next to this handful of tools I have a small metal box with patches, sandpaper, glue, meticulously selected nuts and fuses. The glue is stored in a string bag for protecting it from drying up.
The whole is 288g, plus Knipex 103g and a box 149g.
